My Review of Fenty Beauty We’re Even Hydrating Concealer
I really like the doe-foot on this concealer. The shape is brilliant and it fits into all the nooks and crannies really easily. It is very flexible and quite bendy (in a good way) which makes it really soft and gentle to apply the concealer onto delicate skin.
The Fenty Beauty We’re Even Hydrating Concealer has a really lightweight feel on the skin and blends out really nicely. The texture is pretty thin which means that it’s not the fullest coverage concealer, but it’s a really good medium. If you have very dark under eyes and dark circles, and you want full coverage, you might need to use a separate colour corrector or use a higher coverage concealer instead.
In terms of finish, this concealer has a soft sheen to start with and as it dries down, this lessens to but not to a matte finish. It illuminates the skin beautifully and makes it look and feel healthy and hydrated. The staying power is very good. I even tested it through a sweaty Peloton ride and it performed really well.
In terms of colour, I think that 150N is a good match for my skin, and if I want a brighter look under the eyes, I could use 140N. I find that this concealer goes a tiny bit darker as it sits on the skin, but just a touch.
I really like to blend this with fingers and you can tap it into the skin really easily. Alternatively, a small fluffy brush gives a sheerer finish.
I think Fenty Beauty We’re Even Hydrating Concealer is very well suited to more mature skin types. I found the Pro Filtr concealer (review here) a bit drying and too matte for my under eye area. This one definitely suits me better.
