My Review of La Mer Lip Volumizer
I really love this formula. It is slightly minty, like many lip plumpers, but it is super gentle and really boosts the hydration in the lips over time. Lots of other plumpers I have tried can have a tendency to dry out the delicate lip area, but this formula does the opposite.
I love the doe foot applicator. It deposits the perfect amount of product on the lips, and shape hugs the lip contour effortlessly for easy application.
It feels super comfortable on the lips, and doesn’t sting or burn in anyway. And I love the way it looks on my lips. The shine is really long lasting and I’ve only needed to reapply once or twice a day when I’ve been wearing it. The best thing is that you don’t need a mirror to top up, and I have been whipping them out of my handbag and sticking the gloss straight on whenever I want to get that high shine back.
It has a non-sticky finish and just feels fresh and soothing. I think it is a very exciting addition to La Mer’s lip collection which is already excellent. I love the La Mer lip balm, and it has featured in my Best Lip Balm for Dry Lips post for the last few years.
The new shades for 2024 are really pretty. The Sheer Berry gives the most intense colour payoff if you want a bit more of a hit of colour. Sheer Glow is the most subtle, followed by the Sheer Pink. I really like Sheer Coral which is a lovely peachy nude that looks really fresh and youthful. They are all fab.
At £72 they aren’t cheap, but if you have the spare cash, you won’t regret this purchase.
