How to use it

This primer is really easy to use and apply. I just smooth a small amount over the whole face, focussing on the areas I want more glow, and also areas that show pores and fine lines.

I let it settle into the skin for a few moments, and then apply foundation on top. You can also wear it alone for a dewy no makeup look.

My Review of Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Primer

As I said at the top, I love the Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation. If you want to check it out, make sure you read: Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation SPF 30 Review & Swatches.

Because I love the foundation so much, and really enjoy the glow it gives, I didn’t initially think it needed a primer. I love the finish it gives on its own. Having said that, I love what this primer does to my skin.

It feels super hydrating yet light, and foundation literally glides on to the skin. I used the Skin Glow foundation on top in shade 250, and I found I needed less product than I do when I have used it without the primer. I could skip concealer and everything stays in place really well.

Also, I think this primer looks beautiful worn alone. It would be the perfect subtle skin perfector to pop on for no makeup days, when you want a little boost of hydration, a lovely pearly glow, and also SPF 25. Fabulous.

Also, I think we are about to see the Pearl Skin trend everywhere, and this product will play perfectly into that theme.

I love pairing this primer with its matching foundation, but more than that, I think it will be the ideal product to pair with a more matte foundation if you are looking for a really longwearing complexion duo, with added radiance.

Also, top tip, this is a fab product to have in your handbag for a bit of a day to night transformation, if you want to top up your makeup without starting from scratch. I just press a small amount over the whole face and then top up concealer etc, for a refreshed, just applied look.

I actually really love it with the Sisley Phyto Teint Perfection foundation*, which I will have a review on soon. A great one to look at if you like a soft matte look and a long wearing finish.
